About Coach Welly

Coach Welly is originally from Santos, Brazil, a city known worldwide for its rich soccer tradition. He grew up playing in elite youth academies in Brazil before moving to the United States with his family at the age of 16.

In Boston, he continued developing his game with several competitive teams, and his dedication to the sport eventually led him to sign a professional contract with the Baltimore Blast.

Today, Coach Welly brings his passion and experience to the next generation of players. He loves teaching kids the fundamentals of soccer while inspiring them to enjoy and appreciate the beautiful game.

Kelvin Mwappe

Playing Career

Coach Kelvin has played professional soccer for over 8 years now. Started his playing career with Charlotte Independence where he spent one season. He then later signed with Richmond Kickers in the USL League One where he played three seasons for them. Then went on and signed with South Georgia Tormenta where he won USL League One Championship with the team. After Georgia coach Kelvin went on and signed with Chattanooga FC in Nisa and then at the end of the season then signed with Maryland Bobcats who played their soccer also in Nisa. Then in 2024 coach Kelvin transitioned from an outdoor pro soccer player to an indoor professional soccer player when he signed with the Baltimore Blast.

Coaching Career

Started coaching in 2018 with the Richmond Kickers Academy. Moved on to coaching Grove United Academy in 2021. In 2022 coach Kelvin was coaching with Chattanooga Fc Academy. Then in 2024 coach Kelvin was coaching The Sojourner High School while also coaching Maryland Bobcats Academy. Then in 2025 he is coaching Phoenix Academy, Touch King’s Academy and also coaching for Golaco Academy.
